Over the course of the past 6 years, two-time JUNO Award winner and acclaimed multi-platinum singer/songwriter, Johnny Reid has been inspiring many with his songs that stand the test of time as demonstrated by the success of his past three albums and DVD's - all certified platinum in Canada and totaling close to 1 million units scanned. 

His last release - 'A Place Called Love' (certified 3x platinum), debuted at No. 1 and spent 4 weeks at the top of the album charts.  Johnny has been the recipient of several CCMA Awards, multiple Top 10 radio singles and No. 1 videos and in 2011, he was honoured with the Slaight Music Humanitarian Award due to his outstanding efforts on behalf of organizations such as the World Vision Foundation, Children's Aid Foundation and the Make A Wish Foundation of Canada, among many.

Victoria, November 30, 2010 - Cirque du Soleil is pleased to announce that its newest arena show, Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”), will be performing in Victoria from June 22 - 26, 2011 at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre for eight performances only.

Thrilling more than 8 million people worldwide since the show premiered in 1999, Dralion is the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil. In Fall 2010, Dralion will embark on a new journey, performing the same captivating production, but now in arenas throughout North America, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy a Cirque du Soleil show in their own town.

The Show

The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West. Dralion derives much of its inspiration from Eastern philosophy with its perpetual quest for harmony between humankind and nature. The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, gymnasts, musicians, singers and comedic characters.
