As always, this year’s production will showcase the athleticism and grace that define the sport, through performances by some of its finest talent. The Tour will arrive in Victoria, BC on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 for a 7:00 PM performance at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. Canada's own Patrick Chan will make his Investors Group Stars on Ice Tour presented by Lindt debut this year. Chan caught the attention of skating fans across the globe at the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow, Russia where he claimed three Guinness World Records for his scores in Men's Short Program, Men's Free Skate, and Men's Overall Score. He is also a recipient of the annual Lou Marsh Award which recognizes Canada's top athletes. Upon receiving the honor, he joined a list of the country's most elite athletes, including skating icon Kurt Browning and the late Barbara Ann Scott. Stars on Ice continues to be a pioneer in figure skating, by offering fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the world’s most creative and cherished champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines. Chan will be welcomed by a stellar cast of past, present and future champions, including: Four-Time World Champion & Four-Time Canadian National Champion Kurt Browning; 2010 Olympic Gold Medalists and 2012 World Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir (Canada); 2010 Olympic Bronze Medalist Joannie Rochette (Canada); Olympic Bronze Medalist & World Champion Jeffrey Buttle (Canada); 2012 U.S. National Champion Ashley Wagner; and Canadian National Silver Medalist Shawn Sawyer. The Show The name Dralion (pronounced “Drah-lee-on”) is drawn from its two main symbols: the dragon, representing the East, and the lion, representing the West.
